"Buddha" - Gardens and Parks by Fran

Wow, now we are out of the kitchen and into the garden. Wonderful!  Right now everything is pretty dead and brown which does have it own beauty but I am in love with this corner which I can see from my kitchen window. This is my first spring project.  The azalea on the south side of my house burst into bloom almost two weeks ago and the white flowering plant is a bougainvillea that I bought at a flea market.  It is very unusual being white with touches of pink.  The Buddha has presided over this garden for several years. This piece was done on my digital tablet and I was not satisfied with the Buddha.   So I blurred him out, used an iPiccy texture and frame and am satisfied.  I will try to draw the Buddha in another medium later.

  4. You have created a beautiful piece of digital art - I thought it was a watercolour when I first looked at it. This is so expertly done, and it inspires me to put more effort into my digital attempts and increase my abilities. Fading out the Buddha was a good idea, it looks as if he is seen through a light morning mist. Also a lovely balance to the whole picture - lovely to look at.

    1. Thank you Jez. Drawing fine lines is very hard and that is why I had to blur it out. But I guess it worked. Thanks again.

  5. Fran I really like the softness of this piece. The background that is quite dark to bring the colors out. The white flowers are wonderful!

  10. This was actually done on a Corel drawing pad which you use with a regular laptop or computer. I have an ipad but have nod tried to draw with it. Once you get over the learning curve it is a lot of fun.
