"Kitchen" Rob Kulas

This "Kitchen" theme should be a fun theme because it will challenge me to try new subjects to draw,paint etc. I usually sketch outdoor scenes.
On these cold winter mornings I really appreciate my morning coffee. So I thought I would try a coffee sketch.
I liked the reflections of the morning sun hitting the counter.
I did this tiny sketch 3.5" x 3.5" in a Moleskine sketchbook. I used a 9B graphite pencil.

    OMIG I can see the steam coming off you coffee cup! Your use of light and dark is wonderful. Love the sun on the counter top and pot. Wow!

    Yes, you have very warm coffee in your cop, the steam is coming up, amazing. You have got the reflections on the coffee pot fine.

    Oh how I love your old school peculator.... there is nothing that tastes or smells better than perked coffee!! Excellent sketch! I smell my coffee brewing ....can't wait! Has to be good beans though!
