Welcome to my living room. The rocking chair was a house warming gift years ago from my brother when we moved into a rental old Victorian out in the country that had a big wrap around front porch.
Not sure we put the chair out there now or not. I do remember a photo of my mother sitting in it at my daughter's high school graduation house party. Now it's in my current living room in a house we've lived in for 22 years.
The lace piece draped over the back is something I could not leave in a thrift store or garage sale.
The little turquoise pillow I made in a quilt making workshop long ago.
Memories.
Great job on the rocking chair, Lynn. I tried to draw a rocker once and it looked like it would fall apart if sat in. Yours looks sturdy.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful rocking chair, Lynn. You find surely that the best chair is the rocking chair! Ye, multimemories everywhere in a home.
DeleteThe rocking chair apparently holds a lot of memories...and treasures too. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does Joan, thanks.
DeleteBeautiful job on the lace. And the cushion is so cute! I love the greens & turquoise.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret. I enjoyed drawing both. ;-)
DeleteThat pillow is adorable! This looks like it was fun to sketch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melisa, it was fun to draw and paint!
