Anyone who has visited my blog (watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com) knows that I do quite a bit of paintings of marshes and water since I am on an island. I decided to do this in the style of Van Gogh with some dabs of paint to let the colors sit side by side. The watercolors however have a mind of their own and like to mingle a bit more than I wanted. lol I'm sure it would have worked better in oils or acrylics, but I don't use either of those. Since I have been focused on florals lately on my blog, maybe I'll try one of those a la Van Gogh next.

This is a lovely painting in it's own right Joan. As a Van Gogh style you got it specially using watercolours. Looking forward to more.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann. It was fun to try this.
