Normally I don't encounter wildlife except for birds and squirrels. Today while I was driving I spotted a deer by a pond, a deer right by the entrance to the highway I was getting on, and a red fox.
I figured it was a sign to do a sketch of a deer. lol This was done with my inktense pencils and water-soluble pencil.
A good sign, I'm glad you too heed. Turned out beautifully well with these colors!
ReplyDeleteVery nice sketch!
ReplyDeleteNice sketch. I am contemplating doing a nature journal. Did you stop to sketch him right away or do it later?
ReplyDeletewonderful ! great simplistic style. so calm and sweet and I see your caring nature of the animal you are doing.
ReplyDeleteOh you are the only one displaying it seems. I guess everyone is into other sites and doing things of other themes and outside walking, visiting or having company. . I know I am one of them.
ReplyDeleteVery nice this sketch.Lynn and the color is so pretty ..
OMGosh, I haven't seen a deer since I moved here. In IL we had them running through the rural neighborhood. This is great creative art on your part. Thank you. Blessings, Janet PPF
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn, Rose, Erika, Kat, Carol Ann, JKW! I don't see deer very often, but I know they are around. It was strange to see two in different areas in one day.
ReplyDeleteErika, I sketched the deer from a photo. They take off too quickly to sketch them from life.
Great drawing! How nice to see a deer and a red fox! BTW, how do you like those pencils? Have a great PPF! Rasz #64
ReplyDeletei love the soft edges and simplicity of this deer - we have tons of them around here. I think they are beautiful even if they eat any flowers I plant!
ReplyDeleteI love deer--and this is a wonderful drawing! Have a great PPF!
ReplyDeleteThese animals must have known about the Theme here at the moment...they appeared for your inspiration - lovely painting of the deer.
ReplyDeleteLovely sketch of the deere, Joan! I can see them here at home too, but I did not sketch now anything of them. Next time then!
