Wow. You really captured the flowing of the falls.
ReplyDeleteThank you LL. I visited your site. I was very impressed with the "Mather-erpieces" series you wrote about. Anything that can make math more appealing is good.
DeleteBeautiful painting, and a lovely reminder of one of the most marvellous holidays we've ever had. We took two helicopter flights over the falls, one straight after the other and took loads of shote - sadly the slides deteriorated over time to unviewable. Your painting really shows the power of the water as it thunders over the cliff edge and the sheer force of it. You've brought back many happy memories of that trip, thank you Fran.
ReplyDeleteOhhh a helicopter flight would be wonderful. I am glad I was able to bring some nice memories back for you. Thank you.
DeleteWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hear the roar of the waterfall. I only have seen this in movies. Glad you got to be there in person! beautiful painting of it, Fran.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn. I have been able to visit the falls three wonderful times. I never grow tired of it.
DeleteIt must be impressive to stay there and see all the water rushing down! I always wonder that the water never takes an end. Great painting Fran!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sirkka. I have lived in Texas all my life where it is often very dry. I am always awed by the amount of water of the Niagara river, the falls and the Great Lakes. There is just so much.
DeleteThis is great Fran, water is so difficult to paint, but you have certainly achieved it :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ann.
DeleteNiagara Falls is a place I've wanted to go, but haven't visited yet. Great job on the falls...you can feel the power and strength in the water the way you painted it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan. It is very impressive in it's roar and the speed with which it flows. Dangerous, and awesome.
DeleteWowza is right! Just beautiful Fran. You've really captured the beauty of Niagara Falls.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
DeleteVery Nice Fran!
ReplyDeleteYes, wow, Fran, you've really got it here! I've been there a couple times (I'm not too far, in Rochester) and am hankering to get back, soon. It is a remarkable place.
