Looks like a spot I'd like to sketch. Nice job, Ann!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan :-)
DeleteBeautiful work of a beautiful castle! I would not say no to sketching there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sirkka, it is a lovely place with great views too as it's high up :-)
DeleteYes, I agree, Ann, trips away refresh the soul…Lovely sketch of this castle! Makes me want to go there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Margaret :-)
DeleteI love castles, but we've never visited Castle Drogo. It looks pretty well complete, so must have been interesting to see inside. Your sketch and the afternoon shadows are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jez. At the time of our visit it was undergoing a lot of renovation works, but then it was nice to see how they were going about it. Hope to go back again some time.
DeleteLovely watercolor sketch. Castle Drogo sound so sinister but it does not look that way.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Fran....I think Drago would sound better, but I guess it has been there too long to change its name just for me :-)
DeleteCharming Castle painting Ann. I see there will be many interesting sites for us to see when we come visit! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait either. I've already thought of some sights for you :-)
DeleteVery interesting castle. I agree with Fran, the name does sound sinister but yet the castle itself looks very quiet. Great job!
