In my imagination I see this lady with a red dress walking down the path to her home. It's going into Spring so there is still a chill in the air. The fireplaces are going in a couple of homes and her son walks ahead of his mom, kind of looking at us as we see them. It's a quaint neighborhood with nice homes, gardens, with manicured lawns and church going peoples. Perhaps in her bag she holds makings for bread in the kitchen and a treat for her son as well. Ah, imagination.....Think I'll go back to sleep. Tee hee.
Have a great day everyone and I will try to get to your posts today.
Walking Home-PPPP, Ipad/P53glv As you can see, the lay of the land and houses, buildings, etc., still puzzle me. It's good to continue to learn. |
This has the makings of a great story Gloria. Love your ipad work - very creative :-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! (jill@glimmerbug.com)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice neighborhood. I really like the way you have drawn the trees.
ReplyDeleteI love your imagined little scene! I feel like I'm in the geography - it's very evocative!
ReplyDeleteI will have to borrow my daughter's Ipad and give this a try. Very inspiring. Looks like folk art.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice daydream sketch. I wonder what they will do once they get home.
ReplyDeleteFun sketch of the neighborhood. They look like they are enjoying the walk.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work with your Ipad, Gloria.
ReplyDeleteI think when she got home, she sat down and took her shoes off. Tee hee. That's quite a walk. Thank you very much for your thoughts. Appreciated.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a good idea to draw from the imagination - I wish I had thought of that when I have been struggling to find a subject. I love the strong lines of the painting and the way you have painted the trees. And the story it tells with the lady in red is great. It's a very good iPad picture - I though perhaps I should not use the iPad, but it will give me more to enjoy if I can sit and draw on the pad. You are very skilled at it.
ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of height in this painting. I feel like I'm watching from the top of a high hill. A very fun painting!
