Now I have looked at your beautiful drawings from the gardens, I have admired everything. But I have a problem, I have not one painting from my garden actually. As you know, there is no new vegetation yet after the winter, it is still winter here, it is again snowing and cold and windy, this week at least. So I thought to paint a bunch of flowers I had picked up last summer and sketched them. I have painted them now with more colors.
I had no preference flowers now of course, but I tried to get the right colors on all of them.
I had Canson watercolor paper, Schmienke watercolors and 2 japanese brushes of two different size.

DeleteLovely flowers, Sirkka!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melisa. Most of them I have sown my self.
DeleteVery nicely done! I forget that not everyone has daffodils blooming outside their door this time of year. I am blessed to live in sunny southern California, and should be able to find lots of garden stuff to paint. Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for my weather.
ReplyDeletePenny, you are wellcome! You can really be greatful for living in sunny southern California! it is good to remember, that the sun is not shining everywhere, not every time either. Snow is falling down here now again. And we wait for the spring!
DeleteThis is a most lovely bouquet beautifully painted. Perhaps you will give us a snowy garden scene?
ReplyDeleteThank you Lynn! To day I have made a first try to give you a little scene how it can be out here this time of year.!
DeleteBeautiful bouquet, sort of a garden in a vase! Nicely done. We don't have anything in bloom here yet either. Maybe the arrival of spring will help things move along. lol
ReplyDeleteJoan, thanks. I hope you are getting spring soon by you and you get flowers too! I have nothing flowering outdoors now. We had a warmer period in february and hepaticas were flowering a little, but now even they are under the snow. But not so bad, because it is not very cold, only a few cold degrees.
DeleteThis is really beautiful Sirkka.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ann! I thought just as Joan said, it is a garden in vase.
DeleteReally a very nice bouquet sirkka. Very much Spring.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, they are partly wilde plants which grow in the nature here.
